Communication is not a problem to solve but a relationship to shape.

For teams

Work: feedback, criticism, pay talks — rehearsed first

For HR, team leads and works councils: a practice room for the conversations that are rarely rehearsed at work — with a counterpart that reacts like the real person, and with nobody watching.

What it is about

  • Giving feedback that lands — and taking criticism without going on the defensive.
  • The promise that was not kept, and that nobody brings up.
  • The pay talk and the question of development.
  • The task that always lands on the same desk; the conflict in the team; the difficult message.

How it works

The person chooses who they talk to — colleague, manager, team member from the lead's side, customer — and what it is about, or describes it in one sentence. The counterpart stays polite on the surface and deflects, justifies, postpones; it opens up when the person stays on the matter. A coach is there for a time-out; afterwards a debrief along observation, feeling, need and request — with one line to take along.

No individual data — by design, not only by contract

There is no account and there are no names. The rehearsal is deleted with the debrief, and there is no interface through which an employer could look at anything. On request the organisation receives anonymous totals — how many rehearsals, which situations — and only from ten people practising in a month. No evaluation of employees, no attendance records, no comparisons between teams. That is the answer to co-determination law and to the EU AI Act before the question is asked.

For the works council and data protection there is a sheet that explains this design: Request the sheet

A pilot for one department starts with a meeting of three — HR, works council, provider — and a live rehearsal.

To be honest: unlike this website, the practice room works with a language model. It runs locally on our own servers in Germany, nothing goes to third parties, and nothing is kept beyond the session. For adults, 18 and over.
